Looks like Rita Ora wants out of Roc Nation and she is willing to take Jay Z to court if she has too! According to TMZ, Rita has filed a lawsuit on Thursday against Roc Nation because she feels neglected ever since Jay Z started picking up athletes.
TMZ has gotten a hold of the alleged lawsuit which states that the new addition to Roc Nation created a “revolving door” when it came to its music execs which has left her basically having to fend for herself. She says since she has been with Roc Nation, they have only released one album which was back in 2008 so basically she’s been sitting on a gold mine music for the past 7 years.
“When Rita signed, Roc Nation and its senior executives were very involved with her as an artist,” states the complaint. “As Roc Nation’s interests diversified, there were fewer resources available and the company suffered a revolving door of executives. Rita’s remaining supporters at the label left or moved on to other activities, to the point where she no longer had a relationship with anyone at the company.”
Her contract traps her with the label for another 4 or more years but Rita is ready to move on now and wants the court to cancel the contract! Lets chat below, do you think the judge will vote against Hov?
