<p>Rod Wave fans expressed deep concern for his well being on Saturday morning after the rapper dropped a new song and went ghost on social media.</p>
<p>People flooded social media with prayers for Rod and messages about mental health and suicide awareness after his newest song &#8216;Nirvana&#8217; dropped on YouTube. While Rod Wave never explicitly said he had thoughts of taking his own life, the song&#8217;s lyrics implied there was a suicidal message to be heard.</p>
<p>&#8220;If you&#8217;re hearing this it&#8217;s too late,&#8221; the first line of the song says. &#8220;I&#8217;ve been writing this since Tuesday, today Friday that mean tomorrow&#8217;s doomsday. Tried to fight the pain but it are me alive. Sad to say I lost a battle against my mind.&#8221;</p>

<p>The song goes on to tell a story of a young man that lived out his wildest dreams, but lost an internal battle with himself.</p>
<p>&#8220;You should be happy for me homie no more sufferin&#8217;. We all got a day I guess we&#8217;ll see each other then. I hope that heaven&#8217;s real and one day we can reunite and don&#8217;t be crying for me, I lived. wonderful live. I went on tour and seen the world and met my fans. I can&#8217;t life, I wish I could that sh*t again. Made plenty money, wrote my will, my kids is good. Hopefully they don&#8217;t grow up so misunderstood.&#8221;</p>
<p>Fans of Rod Wave know him to be a star that doesn&#8217;t frequent social media, fans pointed out that he had completely deactivated his accounts amidst the song&#8217;s release.</p>
