#Roommates, Black Panther director Ryan Coogler is continuing to make major moves in Hollywoodand that includes his highly lucrative relationship with Disney. It was recently announced that Ryan Coogler has officially inked a new multi-year deal with Disneythat also includes TV-based look at the world of Wakanda.
@Deadline exclusively reports, Disney is clearly very happy with its current relationship with Black Panther director Ryan Cooglerand to prove it, the company just extended it. Disney recently signed a five-year overall exclusive television deal with Cooglers Proximity Media. Underneath the new deal, he will also develop a new television series for the studio sure to make Black Panther fans incredibly happy, a drama based in the Kingdom of Wakanda for Disney+. The deal also enables Proximity to develop television for other divisions of the company.
Disney Executive Chairman Bob Iger, spoke about the new partnership, saying Ryan Coogler is a singular storyteller whose vision and range have made him one of the standout filmmakers of his generation. With Black Panther, Ryan brought a groundbreaking story and iconic characters to life in a real, meaningful and memorable way, creating a watershed cultural moment. Were thrilled to strengthen our relationship and look forward to telling more great stories with Ryan and his team.
Similarly, Ryan Coogler also released a statement about continuing his successful relationship with Disney:
