<p class="p1">Many fans and peers continue to mourn the shocking <em><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/chadwick-boseman-passes-away-at-43-following-battle-with-colon-cancer/">passing</a></em> of Chadwick Boseman.</p>
<p class="p1">On Sunday, Ryan Coogler, the director of the box office hit &#8220;Black Panther,&#8221; and a good friend of Chadwick, broke his silence as he remembered him in a lengthy tribute.</p>
<p class="p1">He started off his <em><a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/black-panther-director-ryan-coogler-pens-emotional-beautiful-tribute-to-chadwick-boseman">statement</a></em> by saying, “Before sharing my thoughts on the passing of the great Chadwick Boseman, I first offer my condolences to his family who meant so very much to him. To his wife, Simone, especially.”</p>
<p>Ryan continued to speak about his time working with Chadwick while working on &#8220;Black Panther.&#8221; He revealed that it was Chadwick&#8217;s amazing performance as T&#8217;Challa in &#8220;Captin America: Civil War,&#8221; that convinced him to sign on to direct &#8220;Black Panther.&#8221; He spoke highly about how dedicated Chadwick was to his craft, and also his desire to make the film the box office hit we all immediately following its 2018 release.</p>
<p>He then continued to reveal that he too was unaware of Chadwick&#8217;s health condition and that he now realizes the entire time he&#8217;s known Chadwick, he had been silently facing a battle.</p>
<p>&#8220;Chad deeply valued his privacy, and I wasn’t privy to the details of his illness. After his family released their statement, I realized that he was living with his illness the entire time I knew him. Because he was a caretaker, a leader, and a man of faith, dignity, and pride, he shielded his collaborators from his suffering,&#8221; said Ryan.</p>
<p>He continued, &#8220;I haven’t grieved a loss this acute before. I spent the last year preparing, imagining, and writing words for him to say, that we weren’t destined to see. It leaves me broken knowing that I won’t be able to watch another close-up of him in the monitor again or walk up to him and ask for another take.&#8221;</p>

<p>The tributes to the late and great Chadwick Boseman continue to pour in. On Sunday, Kirk Franklin shared a special rendition of the hit single &#8220;All The Stars,&#8221; which is the lead single from the &#8220;Black Panther,&#8221; soundtrack.</p>
