America’s Next Top Model Contestant Mirjana Puhar was killed in a triple homicide yesterday in Charlotte, NC. Mirjana’s body was discovered in her shared apartment with boyfriend Jonathon Alvarado (his body was also discovered alongside hers) by a friend who reported hearing gunshots. There was a third victim who was murdered, 21-year-old Jusmar Garcia, who was Mirjana’s boyfriend’s roommate.
Mirjana had recently moved in with the boyfriend and they had only been together for a few months. According to TMZ, law enforcement sources say that money was scattered across the floor and that it seemed as if the murder was drug related.
A suspect has already been taking into custody. The suspect is 19-year-old Emmanuel Jesus Rangel and he’s been charged with 3 counts of first degree murder.
Mirjana was a contestant on the last season and made it to the top ten.
It’s sad news that so many young people lost their lives in this tragedy. Let’s keep their family and friends in our prayers!
