Safaree recently sat down with our friends at VladTV where he spilled the tea about how life was during and after his relationship with Nicki Minaj.
In response to his tweet, “would have been dope to do this together. Starting to miss you” he says he wasn’t insinuating that he wanted her back but he was more so along the lines of wanting to experience what she helped him build, with her there.
“I’m just saying exactly what it is. I’m not saying I want that back. I’m not saying that would be the best thing to do. I’m just saying I know how talented I am and everybody else is about to find that out too when they hear what I’m doing; so that’s what I meant when I said that.”
He expresses that Nicki pretty much wanted things to stay how they were with the focus solely to be more so on her. He thinks maybe she didn’t want him in the forefront because he would be too popular amongst the ladies.
“Ain’t no female who’s with someone gonna want their man to be put in the forefront when they weren’t in the forefront the whole time and then it’s gonna be like ‘okay now I gotta worry about girls throwing their selves at him,’ I grew up around women and that is a big part of it. No female is gonna want her man to be just out there.”
He admits that as a man, it could be easy to be tempted but there’s lack of being able to trust now-a-days. He thinks it would have been nice to have an established trust and respect while dealing with each other in this industry.
He 100% believes they shared an interdependent relationship. So because they both played an important role in helping each other’s careers, it’s just unfortunate that he got to share her rise with her and she won’t be sharing his with him. Let’s chat below !!
