SAT Test Set To Be Completely Digital By 2024 And Test Duration Will Be Shortened

as the College Board recently announced the testing process will be digital by 2024&period; The new testing process will allow students to complete the test on laptops or tablets at select testing centers&period; For those who dread the math section&comma; calculators will be allowed for the entirety of that section and reading passages are also set to be trimmed down&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>However&comma; that’s not the only change to the SAT test because the length of the exam will also be changed&period; Instead of the regular three-hour testing session&comma; the SAT will be shortened to a two-hour testing time&period; While the changes in the U&period;S&period; will start in 2024&comma; in other countries the changes take effect next year in 2023&period; The reasoning for the changes&comma; according to the College Board&comma; is an attempt to retool the exam for modern day standards—and also respond to increasing questions regarding the SAT test being fair or necessary for college success&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Vice President of College Readiness Assessments for the College Board&comma;
