Roommates, Saweetie continues to bless her fans with a host of new music and visuals following the release of her latest project “Pretty Summer Playlist: Season 1”—and she just dropped the video for one of the project’s standout tracks. In the video for “Talkin’ Bout’ featuring Loui, Saweetie takes it back to the classroom, as she spits a few bars over some familiar samples.
Directed by Whipalo, in “Talkin’ Bout” Saweetie and Loui trade rhymes over samples of Cali Swag District’s “Teach Me How to Dougie” and Kstylis’ “Booty Me Down.” Dressed in a sexy schoolgirl outfit, Saweetie fires off her lyrics and looking good while doing it.
Just last week she released the video for her single “Fast (Motion)”—which features her in a series of death-defying and action-packed scenarios. The single will serve as a precursor to her highly-anticipated debut album, “Pretty B**ch Music” set to drop later this year.
In a recent interview on Apple Music 1’s “The Plug Radio with Eddie and Nick,” Saweetie spoke about wanting to be a better performer and the steps she’s taking to up her game:
“We’re on workcation. Because I still got work. I still got interviews. I’m actually in a bootcamp right now. Artist development. For me, I’m going to focus on what I struggle with. I struggle with breathing control. I’m going to work on my dance move, my details, all that good stuff. My body, my stamina, my everything.”
She continued, adding “Artist’s typically have artist development, but because our songs blow up quicker than our artist development, we’re thrown out to festivals, to shows, for this and that because our songs are so hot. So this is me pulling back. I’m thanking God for the greatness I’ve achieved, but now it’s time to work.”
It looks like Saweetie will definitely have a very busy 2021.
