<p>Roommates, back in the day H.E.R. almost joined forces with Kehlani and Zendaya to form a band! OZY founder Carlos Watson recently interviewed the award-winning artist H.E.R. on his show The Carlos Watson Show. During the chat, H.E.R. spilled some details on what could&#8217;ve been, but ultimately wasn&#8217;t.</p>
<p>So, here&#8217;s the story according to Harper&#8217;s BAZAAR: <a href="https://www.harpersbazaar.com/culture/art-books-music/a36451975/her-almost-in-band-with-zendaya-and-kehlani/">Kehlani and H.E.R.</a> have known each other since their childhood days. Together, they used to sing alongside other longtime friends Dylan and Jaden Wiggins. The Wiggins brothers are sons of D&#8217;wayne Wiggins from Tony! Toni! Toné!</p>
<p class="body-text">&#8220;Dylan Wiggins, who is D&#8217;wayne Wiggins&#8217;s son from Tony! Toni! Toné,&#8221; H.E.R. said in the interview. &#8220;We used to be in a band together. We used to perform together when we were really young and Kehlani was actually in our band. We all use to sing together.&#8221;</p>
<p>The three talented stars reportedly ran in the same social circles in California&#8217;s famed Bay Area.</p>
<p>&#8220;Zendaya was going to be in it at one point. But yeah, they all grew up together. I came into the picture in Oakland, and we used to perform together.&#8221;</p>
<p>H.E.R. didn&#8217;t offer much in terms of why the trio never fully came together to be in a band. However, the main connector between H.E.R., <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/kehlani-says-she-took-tory-lanez-off-her-song-because-of-loyalty-to-megan-thee-stallion/">Kehlani</a> and Zendaya seems to be the Wiggins brothers. At some point throughout their careers, each of these ladies performed with Dylan and Jaden.</p>

<p>As you might already know, Kehlani and the brothers ended up performing on &#8216;America&#8217;s Got Talent&#8217; as the teen group Poplyfe. Other members of that group included Dillon Ingram, Denzel Merritt, and Ali-Khan Lochin, according to Harper BAZAAR. The group ended up landing fourth place in the competitive show&#8217;s sixth season.</p>
<p>As Kehlani approached her teens, she parted ways with the band &#8220;due to contractual disagreements.&#8221; Kehlani went on to build her own lane in the music industry.</p>
<p>Zendaya also came into her own stardom, in particular with acting. She starred in popular Disney channel shows like &#8216;Shake It Up&#8217; and &#8216;K.C.&#8217; Undercover.&#8217; In 2012, she even performed with her almost bandmates Poplyfe during her Swag It Out Tour for &#8216;Shake It Up.&#8217; In 2020, Zendaya won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her portrayal of Rue on &#8216;Euphoria.&#8217;</p>
<p class="body-text">As we know, H.E.R. has been on the rise and grind since she was a little kid. She captured hearts at age 10 when she dominated singing &#8216;No One&#8217; by Alicia Keys on the &#8216;Today&#8217; show. Recently, the vocal master <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/beyonce-megan-thee-stallion-nas-h-e-r-were-the-big-winners-of-the-night-at-the-63rd-grammy-awards/">won a Grammy</a> for Song Of The Year with &#8216;I Can&#8217;t Breathe,&#8217; a tribute addressing police brutality.</p>
