<p><strong>Jonathan Majors&#8217;</strong> domestic assault trial is underway, and the actor&#8217;s ex-girlfriend and alleged victim, <strong>Grace Jabbari</strong>, is sharing her testimony. As <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/jonathan-majors-ex-girlfriend-domestic-accuser-grace-jabbari-detained-released/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Shade Room</a> previously reported, Jabbari accused the actor of assaulting her in March.</p>
<p>In June, Majors filed a &#8220;cross-complaint&#8221; against Jabbari, accusing her of similar behavior on unreported occasions.</p>

<p>According to Emily Palmer, Senior Crime Writer at PEOPLE, opening statements commenced in the Jonathan Majors assault trial on Monday, December 4. <p>During the proceedings, prosecutors alleged that the former couple met on the set of the film, &#8216;Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.&#8217; Majors allegedly asked Jabbari, a professional dancer and on-set movement director, for her phone number.</p>
<p>The couple&#8217;s two-year relationship quickly blossomed with poetry and &#8220;love notes.&#8221;</p>

<p>However, the attorneys alleged that within months, &#8220;the defendant’s true self began to emerge.&#8221;</p>
<p>According to <a href="https://people.com/jonathan-majors-accuser-grace-jabbari-testifies-assault-trial-8410801" target="_blank" rel="noopener">PEOPLE</a>, Jabbari&#8217;s testimony began on Tuesday, December 5. The 30-year-old British woman reportedly described the actor as prone to &#8220;rage and aggression.&#8221;</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;His face kind of changes when he gets into that place,&#8221; Jabbari explained. &#8220;He’s a big guy, so you just want to step back.&#8221;</p></blockquote>

<p>The defense reportedly showed photos and played audio recordings of alleged fights between the former couple. Jabbari reportedly documented the moments to &#8220;feel safer.&#8221;</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;I took the photo because the shift in his temper was something I was aware of, and I just wanted to remember,&#8221; Jabbari reportedly told the jury. &#8220;I knew I kept forgiving him, but I just wanted to have a bit of a memory of him.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>According to <a href="https://variety.com/2023/film/news/jonathan-majors-trial-accuser-ex-girlfriend-testifies-1235821792/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Variety</a>, Majors chastised Jabbari in a September 2022 recording for disturbing &#8220;the peace&#8221; in their house. In the recording, Majors described himself as a &#8220;great man&#8221; who needs a woman like Coretta Scott King or Michelle Obama.</p>

<p>On the stand, Jabbari alleged that Majors would threaten to commit suicide and deter her from informing her friends and family about their disagreements.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Jonathan Majors&#8217; Ex Opens Up About The Incident That Prompted Her Initial Abuse Allegations</h3>
<p>As <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/jonathan-majorsed-for-domestic-assault-strangulation-and-lawyer-claims-woman-recanted-after-his/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Shade Room</a> previously reported, Majors was arrested on Saturday, March 25. Additionally, the actor was charged with strangulation, assault, and harassment.</p>
<p>During her testimony, Jabbari reportedly reflected on what prompted the Majors&#8217; alleged arrest. The 30-year-old explained that on a March evening, she and Majors were leaving dinner by &#8220;hired&#8221; car when she saw a &#8220;romantic&#8221; song by D&#8217;Angelo pop up on the actor&#8217;s phone. A text then followed the song.</p>

<p>Majors allegedly told Jabbari the message was &#8220;not what it seems.&#8221; However, the woman attempted to grab the phone from Majors.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;[I felt] what I knew to be the weight of him on top of me as he tried to pry the phone from my fingers,&#8221; Jabbari reportedly told the jury, per <a href="https://people.com/jonathan-majors-assault-trial-live-updates-8411006" target="_blank" rel="noopener">PEOPLE</a>.</p></blockquote>
<p>Jabbari alleged that the actor pulled and twisted her arm as she felt &#8220;a really hard blow&#8221; against her head. According to <a href="https://variety.com/2023/film/news/jonathan-majors-trial-accuser-ex-girlfriend-testifies-1235821792/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Variety</a>, the actor exited the vehicle. However, as Jabbari attempted to follow him, he pushed her back inside.</p>
<p>As her testimony continued, Jabbari addressed reports of her going to a bar after the incident.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;The [physical] pain wasn’t registering. I was aware there was pain in my body, but I hadn’t registered anything. I’m a dancer. I’ve danced with a broken rib,&#8221; Habbari reportedly explained, per <a href="https://variety.com/2023/film/news/jonathan-majors-trial-accuser-ex-girlfriend-testifies-1235821792/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Variety</a>. &#8220;I was only thinking from my heart of the infidelity. That morning, we were talking about when we were going to get married and the names of our [future] children.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>According to prosecutors, Jabbari was ultimately taken to the hospital with &#8220;minor injuries to her head and neck.&#8221; Majors has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him and maintains his innocence. However, if convicted, the actor may spend up to one year behind bars.</p>
<p>Jabbari&#8217;s testimony is expected to continue on Wednesday, December 6.</p>
