<p>During a recent interview, <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/twitter-temporarily-suspends-donald-trump-jr-s-account-for-spreading-coronavirus-misinformation/">Trump</a> announced that he is still considering banning TikTok and possibly other social media platforms. He also stated that he will base his decision following the Congressional hearing with tech CEOs from Facebook, Amazon, Apple and more.</p>
<p>The CEOs of four of the biggest <a href="https://abcnews.go.com/Technology/ceos-amazon-apple-facebook-google-face-congressional-antitrust/story?id=72034939">tech companies</a> in the world—Amazon, Apple, Facebook and Google—faced lawmakers earlier today for a hearing on digital competition that could have drastic impacts on an industry largely unhindered by regulators.</p>
<p>The intense questioning of tech titans Jeff Bezos, Tim Cook, Mark Zuckerberg and Sundar Pichai (the companies&#8217; respective CEOs), was conducted by the House Judiciary Antitrust Subcommittee as part of its ongoing, year-long investigation into competition in the digital market.</p>

<p>Just before the hearing began, Trump took to a tech platform of his own, Twitter, and wrote the following:</p>
<p><em>“If Congress doesn&#8217;t bring fairness to Big Tech, which they should have done years ago, I will do it myself with Executive Orders. In Washington, it has been ALL TALK and NO ACTION for years, and the people of our Country are sick and tired of it!”</em></p>
<p>Trump’s comments come after his son, Donald Trump Jr.’s, Twitter account was temporarily suspended because he was continuing to post false information regarding cures and treatment for the coronavirus. You’ll recall that Twitter recently made the change to flag tweets or suspend accounts that spread misinformation about COVID-19.</p>
