Her epic athleticism combined with her matching personality has earned her the title of the greatest female tennis player of all time. However, during a recent interview with #NPR, fellow tennis player #JohnMcEnroe shot down the reporter’s suggestion that she could be the greatest tennis player ever.
When NPRs Lulu Garica-Navarro asked why he wouldn’t call her the greatest tennis player ever he said, “Uh, shes not,” and that “if she played the mens circuit shed be like 700 in the world.” The problem with his comments was that they weren’t factual and Miss Williams set. him. straight. with two short and sweet tweets.
“Dear John, I adore and respect you but please please keep me out of your statements that are not factually based,” she said. She then added, “Respect me and my privacy as I’m trying to have a baby. Good day sir.”
