<p>On Thursday (Sept. 15), a man was killed steps from where <strong>Sexyy Red </strong>was shooting a music video in Florida. But the &#8220;SkeeYee&#8221; rapper denies the <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/florida-man-hot-wired-excavator-plow-through-walmart-buildings/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">violent incident</a> had anything to do with her set or team.</p>
<p>Red took to her Instagram Story overnight to denounce all rumors about the shooting happening on her set. Instead, she revealed the shooting occurred at a gas station across the street from where she was filming.</p>

<p>She started her social media statement by sending love to the family of the deceased and another person who was wounded.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;I send my condolences to the family of the man who lost his life and prayers for the person who was wounded,&#8221; Sexyy Red wrote. &#8220;But I gotta address the rumors that it happened at my video shoot bc sh*t is not true, at all. It happened at a gas station across the street from my video set. Florida Highway Patrol and Broward County Sheriff confirmed that the shooting was not on my set.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>According to <em>TMZ</em>, an <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2023/09/14/sexyy-red-video-shoot-bullets-florida/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">unidentified assilant</a> opened fire while Sexyy was filming at Oakland Flea Market. Though the wounded person was &#8220;rushed to the hospital,&#8221; there are no additional updates on their conditon.</p>
<p>A video obtained by the outlet shows law enforcement vehicles in the background and one person lying on the floor near the gas station.</p>

<p>While addressing the shooting, Sexyy Red thanked her team for keeping everyone safe and cooperating with authorities.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;My secure and thanks to my production team getting all the paperwork right and working with the Broward Sheriff&#8217;s Office to hire off-duty&#8217;s to make sure everyone was safe. We finished the shoot at a different location and everyone from our set went home safely. Period.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>She added:</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Sexyy Red Previews Her &#8220;Hellcats SRTs&#8221; Music Video On The Shade Room</h3>
<p>The serious statement comes just hours after the rapper shared an exclusive first look at her &#8220;Hellcats SRTs&#8221; Remix music video. The drop <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/lil-durk-recovering-hospital-severe-dehydration-exhaustion/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">features Lil Durk</a> and is unrelated to the video she was shooting on Thursday.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Red also gained some <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/what-a-year-recap-of-poppin-2022-memes-social-media-trends/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">viral attention</a> after describing her &#8220;most romantic&#8221; experience. She sat with MONTREALITY to dish on the topic, adding that her first boyfriend deserves the credit.</p>
<p>Red said while she was in <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/atlanta-public-schools-investigate-high-school-football-staff-coach-student-video/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">high school</a>, her &#8220;little older&#8221; BF &#8220;robbed somebody&#8221; and gave her the coins and Gucci belt to keep! She said she took the criminal gesture as &#8220;sweet&#8221; &#8212; especially given that it went down on Valentine&#8217;s Day.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;I know he didn&#8217;t have it. So the fact that you still made a way and you did what you had to do, that was nice,&#8221; the rapper dished.</p></blockquote>
<p>Ultimately, the gifts totaled to $13 and a fake designer belt. But to this day, Sexyy Red said the gesture was a winner.</p>
