<p>On Wednesday, it was announced that Netflix has decided to cancel Spike Lee’s series “She’s Gotta Have It,” which is an adaption of his classic 1986 film.</p>
<p>According to <em><a href="https://variety.com/2019/tv/news/shes-gotta-have-it-canceled-netflix-1203271213/">Variety</a></em>, although the show was canceled by the popular streaming service, Spike Lee is reportedly expected to shop the series to other platforms. The show’s cancellation comes after the second season premiered back in May.</p>
<p>Ted Sarandos, the chief content officer at Netflix, said, “Spike Lee is one of the greatest filmmakers of all time and we’re thrilled he brought the series ‘She’s Gotta Have It’ to Netflix. While this is our last season, we’re very proud that it will be on our service for years to come and excited to be working with Spike on his upcoming Netflix film ‘Da 5 Bloods.’”</p>
<p>Dewanda Wise, who starred as Nola Darling, the star of the series, took to social media after the news about the show&#8217;s cancellation broke. She said:</p>
