<h3 style="text-align: center;">Simone Biles Describes Her Love For Jonathan Owens</h3>
<p>Still, it was the heartwarming way she spoke of her husband, <strong>Jonathan Owens</strong>, that has fans online begging for the champ&#8217;s private prayers! Speaking with <a href="https://www.vanityfair.com/contributor/leah-faye-cooper" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Leah Faye Cooper</a>, Simone revealed how marrying her pandemic bae topped winning her first Olympics.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;I’ve never had so much fun in my life,&#8221; Simone Biles told Vanity Fair. &#8220;I was 19 when I won my first Olympics, and I was like, How am I supposed to top this? My wedding topped it. It was the greatest feeling ever.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>Their romance began on an invite-only dating app, Raya, in 2020. Jonathan insists she messaged him first during her first week on the app. After meeting in person the second week, they became inseparable &#8212; a fact both Simone and Jonathan agree on. In Simone&#8217;s words to VF, they were &#8220;hooked.&#8221;</p>
<p>Their early dates were restricted to each other&#8217;s households due to the Covid-19 outbreak. They enjoyed &#8220;movies, playing games and drinking sangria.&#8221; But Owens told VF what he remembers most was Simone&#8217;s &#8220;contagious&#8221; laughter and how their conversations continuously flowed.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;We could talk all day and we’d stayed up late, and there just wasn’t an awkward moment,&#8221; Owens shared.</p></blockquote>
<p>As for Biles, what she remembers is not only how &#8220;fine&#8221; he was (and is) but how &#8220;sweet and kind&#8221; he treated her.</p>
<p>The pair had a <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/listicle/simone-biles-jonathan-owens-married-destination-wedding/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">double wedding last year</a>, nearly a year after he proposed on Valentine&#8217;s Day in 2022. First, they married in Texas in April, then celebrated with a larger ceremony in Mexico in May.</p>

<p>Owens also mentioned that he wasn&#8217;t aware of Biles&#8217; achievements in gymnastics at the start of their romance. Everything clicked after he found her on Instagram.</p>
<p>This isn&#8217;t the first time the pair&#8217;s fans have heard this narrative. Just a few weeks ago, Owens came under fire online for how he explained that bit during a guest spot on The Pivot Podcast.</p>
