A San Francisco-based mobile app called Eaze joined forces with the Marijuana guru, Snoop Dogg, in hopes to become the new “Uber for Pot”!
Since its launch last July, Eaze has already made 30,000 medical marijuana deliveries with the assistance of the app. Moving forward, the company intends to hire 50 people in 50 days to jump start a nationwide push into the already legal markets.
Of course, experiments like this one takes money. Snoop Dogg’s venture firm, Casa Verde Capital has joined forces for a $10 million funding round for the company.
His exact size of investment hasn’t been verified yet, however, his participation and commitment is a great deal seeing as how the marijuana industry isn’t the most kosher investment opportunity.
A lot of mainstream investors have shied away from investing keeping in mind and being wary of regulatory risks. Only Washington, D.C, Alaska, Colorado, and Washington have legalized recreational marijuana but 20 states have only legalized medical marijuana.
