Social media is currently in an uproar due to audio circulating of DJ Akademiksspeaking on being intimate with women of a certain age. No stranger to controversy, DJ Akademiks is at the center of it once again after audio circulated of him speaking about sleeping with women who are underage, specifically saying “Theres not much difference between a 20 or a 17.”
In the full audio, Akademiks further explains his theory regarding having sex with young women and also those who are under the age of 18:
“And to keep it real if you think about it in the bigger scheme of things, theres not much difference between a 20 or a 17 or a 21 and a 17. Just kinda means ones a minor and ones not a minor. But listen, I will say I adopted this rule which I think was fine, I said listen, ‘as long as a chick got a college ID shes getting f**cked.’ I dont care if she 17, I dont care if she 17 and a half, I dont care if she just turned 17, she gon’ get this d**k.”

As expected, social media was brutal in response to his statements. Many called out his thought process and labeled him a sexual predator and a pedophile. However, there were others who believed that his comments were taken out of context.
Although highly active on social media, as of now DJ Akademiks has not yet publicly responded to the backlash of his comments.
