<p><strong>Spice</strong> fans have been on edge for the last week as they awaited updates on her health. Several surgery-based blogs, including <em>Surgeon Made Curves, </em>reported that the Jamaican singer suffered from medical complications after undergoing cosmetic surgery in the Dominican Republic. Other outlets claimed Spice was in a coma or suffered a heart attack.</p>

<p>But on Wednesday (November 9), Spice ended her social media break to clear the air. The Grammy-nominated artist revealed on Instagram and Twitter that her health took a hit but reassured fans that the rumors don&#8217;t reflect reality.</p>
<p>Spice <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/spice-consoles-fans-after-losing-grammy-award-for-best-reggae-album-to-predominantly-white-band/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">posted the update</a> with a photo of herself to her verified account and began by thanking Jesus for <em>&#8220;saving [her] life.&#8221; </em></p>

I suffered a damaged hernia a few days ago that sent my body into sepsis,&#8221; Spice wrote. &#8220;As a result, I was rushed to the hospital for immediate surgery.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<h5 style="text-align: center;"><strong>Spice Denies Heart Attack, Coma, And Near-Death Experience Stories</strong></h5>
<p>As mentioned, the health scare came amid Spice&#8217;s break from social media, which began on October 17. She expressed feeling <em>&#8220;tired of being their only target for clout and clickbait.&#8221; </em>Spice didn&#8217;t give an end date for the break, but she wished her fans a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in the post.</p>

<p>Unfortunately, her absence on social sparked other headlines, including cosmetic surgery rumors. While breaking her silence on Wednesday, the singer did not clarify her current location or whether she had received cosmetic surgery. However, she denied that the health scare involved a coma, heart attack, or near-death experience.</p>

Her agent spoke to <em>TSR </em>after the creator of <em>Surgeon Made Curves </em>continued to claim that Spice suffered from complications of cosmetic surgery.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;Ladies, I&#8217;m receiving reports that Spice was in DR having some work done and is suffering from complications,&#8221; the blogger wrote on Instagram. &#8220;I&#8217;m very saddened by the news and will keep everyone updated as the story is developing&#8230;nothing is confirmed.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>The blogger cited alleged details about Spice&#8217;s condition from unnamed sources in the caption of her feed post.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;As I posted days ago and was called a liar, amongst other things but turned out to be right as always&#8230;Spice is in the DR and did have surgery,&#8221; the blogger wrote. &#8220;However, I received reports that she was experiencing complications, and I was trying to stay positive and not state exactly what I heard&#8230;I heard from a source that she was in a coma and not that an organ was punctured&#8230;We still can&#8217;t confirm any of this to be true other than she&#8217;s in the Dominican Republic, had surgery and has suffered some of type of complication.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
