#Roommates, looks like #Spotify has been keeping their ears to the streets because theyre rolling out a new feature that will allow users to block or mute artists they dont want to hear.
According to @Verge, the option is already available on the latest iOS app upgrade. The feature is called dont play this artist and basically blocks any songs from them that may show up on playlists, chart lists or radio stations. The only exception is songs the artist (or artists) is featured on.
Though theres no apparent connection between the new feature, the timing is interesting given tall of the #RKelly backlash. If you remember, Spotify was one of the first streaming platforms to announce they were removing music by R.Kelly back in May 2018.
