<p>Roommates, we are sending our prayers to the family of St. Louis <em><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/st-louis-rapper-huey-best-known-for-his-hit-single-pop-lock-drop-it-passes-away-after-being-fatally-shot/">rapper</a></em> Huey following reports of him being fatally shot.</p>
<p>According to <em><a href="https://fox2now.com/news/st-louis-rapper-baby-huey-dead-at-31-after-being-shot-in-kinloch/">Fox 2 Now</a></em>, he was shot and killed Thursday night just before midnight in St. Louis in the 8100 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard near Maple Avenue in Kinloch.</p>
<p>Details about the shooting are at a minimum during this time, but many people remember Huey, whose real name is Lawrence Franks Jr., from his 2006 hit song “Pop Lock And Drop It.”</p>
<p>During the investigation, authorities determined that another person was shot during the shooting. The victim arrived at the Ferguson Police Department with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital for his injuries and he is expected to survive.</p>
<p>Huey, 32, leaves behind a 13-year-old daughter.</p>
<p>Fans took to social media to express their condolences as news about Huey&#8217;s passing started to make its rounds on social media.</p>
<p>One person said, &#8220;I&#8217;m so sad. In 9th grade, my friends would practice &#8220;Pop, Lock &; Drop It&#8221; in front of my living room mirror so we were prepared and ready for school dances. Huey&#8217;s song caused so many happy memories.&#8221;</p>
