As California prepares to get back to normal, there are new guidelines surrounding theme parks, and one being that people are not allowed to scream on roller coasters.
According to ABC7, the California Attractions and Parks Association recommends that riders be encouraged to “mitigate the effects of shouting” on roller coasters to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
This can be done by requiring face masks and modifying the seating chart on rides under the association’s “responsible reopening plan” that was released in September, the site reports.
The guidelines also call for businesses to limit singing and shouting, two activities said to increase the risk of spreading the virus, according to ABC7.
Under the plan, groups would have a limit of 10 people being from no more than three households, but indoor dining would be banned, according to the New York Post.
It’s been a year since parks were closed because of the pandemic. Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park will reopen April 30th, according to reports.
Just a week ago, President Joe Biden officially signed the $1.9 trillion relief package into law, which is said to be one of the largest stimulus packages in U.S. history. During the official signing, he said “This historic legislation is about rebuilding the backbone of this country.”
The stimulus bill, is known as the American Rescue Package, which authorizes a third round of one-time payments for most Americans. Additionally, it also extends additional unemployment support to those still without jobs, sets aside federal funding in an effort to reopen schools, assist in the process of distributing the COVID-19 vaccine doses and also help cities and states that are facing increasing budget issues.
