<p>Stephen Hill has played a major role at BET since obtaining his position 18 years ago.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, Hill will now be stepping down from his position at the network.</p>
<p>According to <em><a href="http://www.ebony.com/entertainment-culture/stephen-hill-leaving-bet#axzz4coavoyF3">Ebony Magazine</a></em>, BET’s CEO, Debra Lee made the announcement to the network&#8217;s employees during a meeting Wednesday afternoon. She made sure to mention the many successful moments at the network under Hill’s direction.</p>
<p>Some of those moments include the tributes to James Brown, Michael Jackson, and Prince, as well as Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar’s 2016 BET Awards performance.</p>
<p>He has also contributed to the network&#8217;s growth in ratings with shows such as, “Being Mary Jane,” “Real Husbands of Hollywood,” and the most recent New Edition biopic.</p>
<p>Hill’s final day will be Friday, March 31<sup>st</sup>, and he said to everyone in his goodbye letter, “This Friday, 6,549 days after I took my first step through the doors of BET, I will walk my last one out.&#8221;</p>
<p>He continued, “It has been my honor to serve this brand in that span and I am thrilled to have been able to be a member of the teams that ideated and created so many spectacles, moments, memories, and miracles. It’s been fulfilling to be part of huge changes that literally shifted the culture.”</p>

<p>Stephen Hill will definitely be missed at BET.</p>
