We think we may have found the reason why Joseline didn’t want Stevie J sending her back to the strip club! According to a new lawsuit filed against the famous Miami strip club, King of Diamonds, being a stripper isn’t all that it is cracked up to be!
According to Bossip, over 30 former and current strippers are suing the strip club including, Akinyele Adams (who is a rapper turned KOD manager) and co manager, Rick Taylor, aka “Disco Rick” for violating the Fair Labor Standards Act. The strippers allege that the club charges them hundreds of dollars for in house fees including 10 percent that went to the club staff. Some complained that even if the club looked like it was raining money they sometimes went home with only $750 or less.
An anonymous dancer came forward and dished on how both managers would find any reason to fine the dancers if they broke any rules, which included not calling in before work and for exchanging singles for larger bills. She said Disco Rick would often send texts about whatever fees the girls would be charged. Also the dancers alleged that the security guards would steal from the money that was supposed to be gathered up and distributed to the girls.
“Pay me the wages I did not get paid, and reimburse me for the fines that I paid,” said the dancer. “I feel like that’s fair. I’m not asking for a penny more.”
On the contrary, the club owners, Galardi Enterprises and Fly Low Entertainment, snapped back saying that club recognizes the dancers as independent contractors so policy isn’t to pay them. Find it ironic that the holy mecca of all booty shaking and money throwing would be so shady! But then again nothing goes on in a strip club but nudity and shady business. Maybe Black Chyna should have sprinkled some of her money over her former teammates.
Funny thing about it, KOD isn’t the only club that sued for wages. Strippers at the famous booty joints Magic City and Jaguars all got rewarded a big million dollar lawsuit against their owners too! Word around town is a lot of these strip clubs are losing to these lawsuits.
