<p>Sunday night the 2022 <strong><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/live-updates-heres-the-list-of-winners-from-this-years-billboard-music-awards/">Billboard Music Awards</a></strong> went down in Las Vegas and there were a lot of memorable moments that happened during the show. One main topic of discussion from that night was <strong><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/doja-cat-the-weeknd-lead-in-nominations-for-the-2022-billboard-music-awards/">Doja Cat</a></strong>, who walked away with a total of four awards, most of which were in the R&;B category. Many fans have been debating on whether Doja should be considered an R&;B artist, or Pop artist following her wins.</p>
<p>As we previously reported, <strong><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/summer-walker-explains-why-its-hard-to-perform-certain-records-from-her-latest-album/">Summer Walke</a></strong>r&#8217;s boyfriend <strong><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/summer-walker-and-her-new-boo-make-it-official-with-matching-face-tattoos-of-each-others-names/">Larry</a></strong> shared a few words during the show as he advocated why Summer was deserving of winning for her latest album &#8220;Still Over It.&#8221;</p>
<p>He said, &#8220;Billboard explain to me how a Pop artist, Doja Cat, wins 2 R&;B categories???? And she has 1 R&;B song ever?? Billboard numbers don&#8217;t lie, how did she win? As I recall &#8216;Still Over It,&#8221; topped Beyoncé &#8216;Lemonade&#8217; TWICE. How did Summer Walker not win any R&;B women categories&#8230;I&#8217;ll wait.&#8221;</p>

<p>Summer later took to her Instagram story to congratulate Doja Cat on her three R&;B Billboard Music Awards, and then says maybe she needs to work harder.</p>
<p>&#8220;Well this was an interesting night,&#8221; said Summer. &#8220;Congrats to everyone, but not 1 R&;B win&#8230;Hmmm&#8230;Guess I just need to work harder lol&#8230;Larry come break my heart.&#8221;</p>

<p>Summer, who was sitting in the studio at the time, then proceeded to play a snippet of a song she has with Jacquees.</p>
<p>As <em><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/summer-walker-earns-biggest-24-hour-debut-by-a-female-artist-of-all-time-on-apple-music-with-her-latest-album-still-over-it/">previously</a></em> reported, last November, Summer&#8217;s highly anticipated sophomore album &#8220;Still Over It,&#8221; earned the biggest 24-hour debut by a female artist of all time on Apple Music. The album also debuted at No. 1 on Billboard&#8217;s 200 Chart and also No. 1 on the Top R&;B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart. Doja&#8217;s album &#8220;Planet Her,&#8221; also debuted at No. 1 on both charts following its release.</p>
