<p>On the heels of Chris Rock&#8217;s <em>Selective Outrage </em>special on Netflix, Sunny Hostin is chiming in to say that Will Smith has NO room to be upset about any of the comedian&#8217;s comments!</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">Reports Say Will Is &#8216;Embarrassed &; Upset&#8217; Over The Chris Rock Special</h3>
<p>Hostin&#8217;s statement came during Friday&#8217;s episode of <em>The View</em>, and the matter was brought up while the co-hosts were chit-chatting about recent reports on Will allegedly being hot and bothered over Chris&#8217; jokes.</p>
<p>When the comedy special aired, Chris slammed Will and also took aim at <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/chris-rock-netflix-special-will-jade-meghan-markle/?_gl=1*u3x520*_up*MQ..*_ga*MTg2Mjc0OTEwOS4xNjc4NDg3MTMy*_ga_V2HX8YP3XL*MTY3ODQ4NzEzMC4xLjEuMTY3ODQ4NzQxOS4wLjAuMA.." target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jada Pinkett Smith</a>. As a result, reports began swirling about Will&#8217;s supposed reaction to the special, including an <em><a href="https://www.etonline.com/why-will-smith-did-not-watch-chris-rocks-netflix-comedy-special-source-200360" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Entertainment Tonight</a> </em>article that alleged the actor was &#8220;embarrassed and hurt&#8221; by <em>Selective Outrage</em>.</p>
<p>In spite of this report, we should note that neither Will nor Jada has issued an official public comment on the situation.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Sunny Hostin Acknowledges The Speculation: &#8216;He Wasn&#8217;t The One That Got Slapped&#8217;</h3>
<p>Regarding the rumors about Will not being too fond of <em>Chris Rock: Selective Outrage</em>, as well as other speculation as to how the slap incident will be <a href="https://www.cnn.com/videos/media/2023/03/10/oscars-2023-nominees-host-jimmy-kimmel-will-smith-chris-rock-stephanie-elam-dnt-cnntm-cprog-ldn-vpx.cnn" target="_blank" rel="noopener">addressed</a> at this year&#8217;s Academy Awards, Sunny Hostin says Smith just has to deal with Chris&#8217; responses.</p>
<p>After Sunny notes that Chris&#8217; jokes &#8220;felt less retaliatory and more responsive,&#8221; Joy Behar pointed out that Will likely &#8220;didn&#8217;t think [Chris] was easy on him.&#8221;</p>
<p>In turn, Sunny unapologetically pointed out,</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;Well, he wasn&#8217;t the one that got slapped.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>Amid audience applause, Hostin also cheekily noted that Chris ultimately made $40M off of the special, saying, &#8220;I think you could slap me for $40 million.&#8221;</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;I don’t like violence, but I think you could slap me for $40 million.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>In other words, Sunny suggests that Will can&#8217;t be upset now that Chris is taking the time to personally address the slapping matter (all while making a pretty penny, too!)</p>
