Justice has been served for the stabbing that left Nicki Minaj’s tour managers, 29-year-old De’Von Pickett dead and 27-year-old Eric Parker critically injured.
On Monday, police reportedly arrested Pierce Boykin for his connection with the double stabbing that happened last Wednesday and are possibly looking for a second man who authorities feel was the man who delivered the fatal blow to De’Von.
If you haven’t been keeping up with the news lately, the incident occurred at the Che Bar & Grill in Philly over a female bartender. It was reported that the female was dating both Parker and another man from the opposing group, which caused tempers to ignite. When Parker stepped out with the female to take her to his car, he was met with an altercation with someone pulling out a knife as well.
The incident really hit home for many of the artists that both De’Von and Eric worked with. An outpour of condolences came from artists like Fabolous, K Michelle, Rihanna, Pusha T, Questlove and others who all took to social media to express their emotions about the situation.
Rapper Fabolous wrote on Instagram:
My heart is heavy right now… God opened my eyes this morning at 9:49am. For some reason at that time I woke up thinking about both of these guys. They both work with me, but I couldn’t figure out why they were in my mind at 1st wake up. Wasn’t sure if I had a dream & they were in it or just some wake up & process things type shit.. But at 10:04 my brother hit me & told me that they both were fatally stabbed in Philly last night. My friend @daydaydoesdis (left) died & my friend Eric Parker is in critical condition in the hospital fighting for his life. I am still in shock & don’t want to believe this. And it hurts even more knowing how good these two dudes are. How hard these guys work. And how loyal they are to whoever they are down with & each other. Please send Eric Parker your blessings & a prayer for him to pull thru. And RIP to the fallen soldier Day Day. I can’t even believe I’m saying that with your name attached to it. & I HATE this being a post!! I will miss your energy, your vibe, & you but I’ll hold on to your spirit!! ???? #RIPDayDay

Pierce has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, other related charges have also been brought against him. Eric is expected to survive from his injuries but we continue to pray for him and for the family of De’Von Pickett.
