<p>Sweetie Pie’s owner Tim Norman has been arrested on federal charges for allegedly conspiring to murder his nephew in exchange for money. Norman is currently being held in the Madison County Detention Center for the 2016 murder of his nephew Andre Montgomery, according to <span style="font-weight: 400;"> <a href="https://www.wlbt.com/2020/08/18/sweetie-pies-owner-charged-with-conspiracy-alleged-murder-hire-plot-death-his-nephew/">WLBT.</a></span></p>
<p>According to the complaint, Norman, along with Terica Ellis and a few others allegedy conspired to commit a murder-for-hire plot against Norman’s nephew. Federal authorities allege that in 2014, Norman obtained a $450,000 life insurance policy on his 18-year-old nephew, Andre Montogmery. Norman was the sole beneficiary of the policy.</p>
<p>In the days leading up to Andre Montgomery’s murder, Terica Ellis told Norman’s nephew that she was going to St. Louis. The day before the murder, Norman also flew to St. Louis from Los Angeles. Here’s where the story unfolds.</p>
<p>Norman is accused of communicating with Ellis through burner phones the day of his nephew’s murder. According to the court docs<span style="font-weight: 400;">, Ellis also used her temporary phone to communicate with Montgomery and learn his location.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Immediately after learning Montgomery’s location, Ellis allegedly placed a call to Norman. Around 8:00 p.m. that same day, Montgomery was shot and killed. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ellis’s phone location information places her in the area of the murder at time of the shooting, according to the docs. Immediately following Montgomery’s murder, Ellis is accused of placing a call to Norman, and then beginning travelling to Memphis, Tennessee. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In the days after Montgomery’s murder, authorities say Ellis deposited more than $9,000 in cash into various bank accounts. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Norman reportedly contacted the life insurance company in an attempt to collect on the life insurance policy he had obtained on his nephew, authorities said.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Terica Ellis was also charged with conspiracy to use interstate commerce facilities in the commission of murder-for-hire, resulting in death.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department Homicide Section and Federal Bureau of Investigation are investigating the charges.</span></p>
