Earlier this week, #Beyoncé posted a video and added #SZA’s “Love Galore” for the culture. Clearly, this means she has the queen’s stamp of approval which means that she has Jay-Z’s, right?
She totally does, but in a recent BBC Radio 1Xtra interview, the 26-year old recalls a funny story in which the rapper admitted that he thought she was a fluke after confessing that he actually though she was dope.
“Jay Z was the first person to tell me that he thought I was a fluke, to my face,” the CTRL singer said. Despite what you’re thinking, Jay wasn’t calling her a fluke in a bad way at all!
“He was just like, ‘You’re really good, you’re pretty good,’ and I was like, ‘Thanks,'” SZA explained. “He said, ‘I thought you were a fluke,’ and I was like, ‘Me too!'” She added, “I absolutely think he meant it and that’s OK. I think I am every other day. I think we all do…I question how I got into this mess all the time.”
I think all artists feel this way! We’re all sensitive about our sh*t!
