Patrick Clark, the man accused of gunning down Migos rapper Takeoff in Houston late last year, has reportedly been indicted.
KHOUreports the decision came on Thursday morning, per the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.
While a grand jury has now formally charged Clark with the crime, he hasnotbeen found guilty. Additionally, it’s unclear when the long-awaited murder trial will kick off.
Takeoff (legal name Kirsnick Khari Ball) was killed on November 1 following a private event at Houston’s 810 Billiards and Bowling establishment.
Specifically, the shooting erupted after an argument began over an alleged dice game. Quavo, Takeoff’s uncle and fellow Migos groupmate, was notably at the scene of the incident.
AsThe Shade Roompreviously reported, Patrick was arrested for the shooting back in early December.
Another man named Cameron Joshua was also arrested, andKHOUreports that he’s facing weapons charges.
Just over a month later, news broke that Clark had posted his $1 million bond and been released from jail.
While Clark posting bond was the last update ahead of his indictment, it looks like the legal matter is moving forward.
While the justice system takes its course, family and fans are left grieving Takeoff as the seven-month anniversary of his passing draws near.
AsThe Shade Roomreported,Offsetrecently opened up to Varietyabout how he struggles to cope with the rapper’s death.
“It’s hard for me to talk about s**t right now.I’ve never talked about this stuff. Seriously. Talking about Take is hard, man.”
He continued, noting that the entire situation “feels fake.” Additionally, Offset declared, “Some things I don’t never tell nobody.”
“Talking about all this s**t is hard. Thats why I dont, to be honest. That s**t hurts. Like, its gonna put me in a mood, and I dont want to get in that mood. Some things I dont never tell nobody. Hes not here. That s**t feels fake, bro.”
Before wrapping up his commentary, Offset reiterated, “I get through my day thinking its fake.”
