Last night everyone tuned in to watch the #AMAs and see some of their faves perform and receive awards. One of the winners of last night’s awards was none other than the #Migos and when #Quavo and #Offset got onstage to receive their award, many people started asking, where’s #Takeoff?
Now usually it’s not a big deal that the entire group isn’t together, but fans quickly took to twitter and started speculating on #Takeoff’s absence. Especially since he also was not in attendance at the #MTVAwards alongside his two other group members. But looks like we can kill all the speculation, and the reason for #Takeoff’s absence is because he’s actually working on his first solo album.
Cording to @Blast, in an Instagram post under one of #Offset’s pictures, Offset’s mom, Ms. Latabia Woodward answered a fan who asked about Takeoff’s whereabouts. The fan said: “So it’s just 2 now? Quavo solo? #Migos congratulations guys!” To which Offset’s mom said: “It’s still 3 of them. Take is working on his solo album which releases soon after Quavo’s. Each of them is releasing solo projects.”
The trio took home the AMA award for Favorite Duo/Group in the Pop/Rock category. During their speech both Quavo and Offset shouted out Takeoff during their acceptance speech but I guess that wasn’t enough for fans to do what they do! But now we know #Roommates, there’s no bad blood between the bandmates. Takeoff’s just working hard on his solo project. Are y’all here for what he’s cooking up?!
