magine how different Scandal would have been if Taraji P. Henson was Olivia Pope! In a recent interview Taraji spilled some tea that she was up against Kerry Washington for the role.
According to The Jasmine Brand, Taraji is happy that the role went Kerry.
I auditioned for Shonda Rhimes for Scandal. Thank God, Kerry [Washington] got it. It was her job. I think that was the last time I auditioned.
She continued,
Im not that actress that wants to do everything. When I got it [the script], I was like This is Kerry Washington. That was her blessing.
