#Roommates, a local teacher in California was arrested after he was involved in an altercation with a student during class.
I’m sure by now most of you have seen the video of the teacher and student hitting each other repeatedly.
According to ABC 7, students said an argument over the dress code led to the altercation. The student ended up being taken to a local hospital for minor injuries.
“I think it was both of their faults, like the teacher and the student,” student Enrique Deharo said. “I was scared for the kid, and partly for the teacher, too.” Now in the video the student does seem to antagonize the teacher, hurling racial slurs, and even throwing his basketball at him.
“I felt, like, a little bothered, because you know, it’s kind of racist,” student Ivan Valencia said. The teacher was taken into custody, but parents are split on this situation. Some feel the teacher was defending himself.

Another woman said this teacher is known for being aggressive.
“I think something needs to be done,” Miriam Guizar said. “That’s way out of hand. I don’t know what is the teacher’s problem. I know kids say stuff that they shouldn’t, but he should be accountable.”
