<p>Former MTV star <strong>Jenelle Evans</strong> and her husband, <strong>David Eason</strong>, are speaking out against recent reports and speculation about the <em>Teen Mom 2 </em>alum&#8217;s firstborn, <strong>Jace Evans</strong>.</p>

<p>On Wednesday (Oct. 4), <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2023/10/04/jenelle-evans-david-eason-investigation-cps-child-neglect-runaway-jace/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">TMZ</a> reported that Jenelle and David were being investigated for child neglect. This emerged on the heels of <a href="https://www.theashleysrealityroundup.com/2023/10/02/exclusive-jenelle-evans-son-jace-reportedly-stated-he-ran-away-after-being-assaulted-by-jenelles-husband-david-eason/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Ashley&#8217;s Reality Roundup</a> reporting that Jenelle&#8217;s mother, <strong>Barbara Evans</strong>, allegedly told authorities that Jace ran away after supposedly &#8220;being assaulted by David Eason.&#8221; Furthermore, <a href="https://www.the-sun.com/entertainment/4814667/does-jenelle-evans-have-custody-over-son-jace/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Sun</a> also reported that child protective services (CPS) investigators were allegedly investigating Jenelle and David.</p>
<p>Of course, these accusations came on the heels of TMZ stating that Jace had supposedly been <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2023/09/29/teen-mom-jenelle-evans-son-jace-missing-person-window/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported as a missing person</a> after allegedly sneaking out of Jenelle&#8217;s North Carolina home last week. This was noted as being at least the third time that Jace ran away in the past two months.</p>
<p>We should add that Jenelle <a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@jenellelevans/video/7284641349033413930?is_from_webapp=1&;sender_device=pc&;web_id=7226021776547251758" target="_blank" rel="noopener">confirmed</a> that Jace was &#8220;located&#8221; and &#8220;safe&#8221; following his latest disappearance. Harrowingly, TMZ alleges that the 14-year-old was found with visible markings. Additionally, the outlet reports that authorities have Ring camera footage of an alleged assault.</p>

<p>In light of the reports, Jenelle Evans spoke out through her Instagram Story and blasted the &#8220;false accusations.&#8221; Rather than acknowledging the abuse claims, she appeared to hone in on speculation that &#8220;Jace was removed from [her] custody.&#8221;</p>

<p>Jenelle also shared a video in which she declared, <strong><em>&#8220;My son is still in my custody.&#8221;</em></strong></p>

<p>She added, <strong><em>&#8220;My son was never taken from my custody. My son is still in my custody. I still have primary custody.&#8221;</em></strong></p>
<p>Over on X (formerly known as Twitter), Jenelle also accused Barbara Evans of &#8220;using police to falsely report&#8221; in an attempt to &#8220;make [them] look bad as a family.&#8221;</p>

<p>Taking it back to August, we should add that Jenelle shared a <a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@jenellelevans/video/7273208869344529707" target="_blank" rel="noopener">TikTok</a> and noted that Jace had been &#8220;having a hard time for the past 2, 3 years.&#8221; She also declared that &#8220;there was a big reason behind&#8221; why Barbara gave Jenelle custody of Jace.</p>
<p>While she didn&#8217;t go into detail, she told viewers, <strong><em>&#8220;Monitor your kids&#8217; phones.&#8221; </em></strong>Additionally, she suggested that issues regarding her firstborn were related to him being upset over his phone getting taken away.</p>
<p>As for David Eason, he shared a lengthy post on Tuesday (Oct. 3) to declare, <strong><em>&#8220;Police reports have been falsified and the truth is already apparent to everyone involved.&#8221;</em></strong></p>

<p>Jenelle shared the development in an emotional Instagram post. Prior to this update, Jace had been living with his grandmother since he was an infant, and <em>Teen Mom 2 </em>viewers got to follow the drama from the <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPC1L3WjlFw" target="_blank" rel="noopener">very first episode</a> of the series.</p>

A year later, David Eason <a href="https://www.eonline.com/news/1071743/jenelle-evans-husband-david-eason-finally-admits-to-killing-their-dog" target="_blank" rel="noopener">admitted to shooting</a> the couple&#8217;s dog after it allegedly bit their young daughter. News</a> reports that Evans eventually acquired a temporary restraining order against Eason, alleging that she was &#8220;scared for [her] life.&#8221;</p>
