Roommates, it looks like Tekashi 69 has one less legal woe to worry about, as prosecutors have reportedly decided to toss out his assault case for some very interesting reasons.

According to TMZ the state of Texas requested to have Tekashi’s assault charges dismissed. The charges stem from an alleged altercation back in 2018, where Tekashi allegedly attacked a young man in a mall.

Apparently, the state wanted Tekashi’s case dismissed, as prosecutors fear moving him to Texas is a “security risk”, now that he has cooperated with the federal government in NYC.

Tekashi’s attorney, Carl A. Moore, tells TMZ that he has not yet been notified that his case is going toe dismissed, but he’s sure the news will make him happy.

“Mr. Hernandez has not yet been notified yet of the dismissal. We plan to notify him today,” he said. “I am happy the prosecutors handling this case did what was fair and just in dismissing the charge against Mr. Hernandez. We hope that getting this case behind him will assist in him moving forward with his career.”

Sources also tell TMZ the alleged victim in the assault case requested the it be dismissed. The state declared the “complaining witness” could not be used in the case, as he showed up to one of Tekashi’s court hearings and posed for a photo with him.

As we previously reported, the entire incident started after the young man, Santiago Albarran, started to record Tekashi without his consent. He claims Tekashi put his hands around his throat, and choked him out.

At the hearing, Santiago told Tekashi’s attorney that he wanted to drip the charges, and expressed that to the prosecutors as well.

Tekashi has not yet been sentenced in his racketeering case, but he looks forward to the feds cutting him a deal since he has been cooperating in busting the other members of the Trey Nine bloods.
