<p>Roommates, social media was on fire earlier today when Lil Nas X appeared to expose <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/brs-kash-and-tekashi-69-step-into-the-shade-room-to-exchange-words/">Tekashi 6ix9ine</a> for allegedly sliding in his DMs—however, it didn’t take long before Tekashi shut down the claims very quickly. Tekashi hopped on his Instagram stories to show proof that the DM that Lil Nas X posted was fake, while also showing that the two don’t even follow each other.</p>
<p>Apparently, Lil Nas X didn’t appreciate Tekashi 6ix9ine <a href="https://www.hotnewhiphop.com/6ix9ine-says-lil-nas-x-is-lying-about-exposed-dms-news.127798.html">making a joke</a> at his expense about the recent COVID-19 testing procedures in China involving anal swabs. In retaliation, Lil Nas X posted an DM allegedly from Tekashi asking if they could hang out.</p>
<p>The alleged DM from Tekashi read, “Yo! Gonna be in ya city soon what you doing lol?” The question was followed by an upside smiley face and a heart emoji. Lil Nas posted the DM alongside Tekashi’s post clowning him and writing “this you?”</p>
<p>As expected, the post instantly went viral, as many were anticipating Tekashi’s response…and he didn’t disappoint. He posted a quick video shutting down Lil Nas’s claims with not only video proof, but also saying “Before this s**t even start, we gon’ nip this s**t in the bud.”</p>

<p>Surprisingly, Lil Nas X has yet to respond to Tekashi 6ix9ine shutting down his claims, especially since it was his initial post that set everything off. Perhaps he’s waiting to post more receipts when the time comes…or maybe he doesn’t want any additional smoke. We’ll have to wait and see.</p>
