According to TMZ, Michelle claims that while vacationing in Costa Rica in 2013, Terrence almost beat her to death. In the suit she describes that a war of words turned into him grabbing her by her neck and choking her in the bathroom of their rental house. He threatened to live up to promises to kill her and even kicked her in the head and shoulders.
Terrence said that it was in self defense since she had sprayed him with pepper spray even though Michelle says the pepper spray came after he charged at her for a second time.
Unfortunately this isn’t the first time Terrence has been accused of domestic abuse. When Michell initially filed for divorce in 2011, she also made accusations of spousal abuse and even placed a restraining order on him in 2013. He was also arrested in 2001 for assaulting his ex-wife Lori McCommas.
Michelle Ghent has not specified what she wants in damages but she is also going for defamation since he made it seem as though she was making false accusations. She filed the lawsuit just a day before the statute of limitations ran up.
