It looks like Terrence Howards former management company is trying to make his pockets $250,000 lighter.
According to E News, Howard’s formermanagement company claims that the Empire actor breached their contract and failed to pay them their commission after they parted ways.
Authentic Talent and Literary Management filed a formal complaint in Los Angeles claiming that Howard owes them $250,000. They claim to have played a key role within his career and have provided him with professional, personal and other advice and career guidance.
Howard did not part ways with the company until he accepted the role as Lucious Lyon in the Fox hit series “Empire”. The management company states that they wereentitled to 10% of revenue Howard received during their partnership. That of course includes his “Empire” money.
The same lawyer who represented actor Sean Penn in his battle against “Empire” co-creator Lee Daniels is currently representing the management company.
It was Daniels comparison of Terrence Howard to Sean Penn that sparked their defamation lawsuit.
With the success of Empire, $250,000 doesnt seem too big of deal to the veteran actor.
