Don’t mess with Texas, ya heard. A #Laredo woman is accused of assaulting her common-law husband when he did not respond after she asked him if she was pretty, according to Laredo police.
Police were dispatched to 20-year-old Lizeth Guadalupe Ramirez’s home last week when she told police that her husband had assaulted her and attempted to strangle her, the Laredo Morning Times reports. But police also spoke to her mans, who had a different version of what went down.
He stated that he and Ramirez were boo’d up at the movies when she asked him if she looked pretty. Her husband told police he did not respond to her question because he could not hear her and that’s what reportedly caused Ramirez to get upset.
In order to avoid confrontation in public, the couple went home but they couldn’t even make it to the crib before Ramirez allegedly started acting up, hitting him several times as he was driving them home.
The assault reportedly continued once the couple pulled up to their house. The husband claims that Ramirez allegedly pushed and struck him.
A relative tried to separate the couple but Ramirez assaulted that person too, according to police.
After police got things all sorted out they arrested Ramirez and charged her with two counts of assault and family violence.
