The 2017 Oscar Nominations Are In!

It is officially award season, which means that one of the biggest nights in Hollywood is right around the corner.

On Tuesday the nominees for the 89th Academy Awards were announced, and some of our favorite actors and actresses were nominated this year to win an Oscar.

One film that will more than likely win big on Oscar night is Moonlight. The Berry Jenkins directed film gained a total of nine nominations in categories such as, “Best Picture,” “Best Supporting Actor” and “Best Supporting Actress,” “Best Director,” among a host of others.

Another amazing film to compete with is none other than Fences starring both Denzel Washington and Viola Davis. Both Washington and Davis snagged “Best Lead Actor” and “Best Supporting Actress” nominations, along with “Best Picture” and “Adapted Screenplay.”

The film Hidden Figures will also compete for “Adapted Screenplay,” along with “Best Picture” and “Best Supporting Actress” for Octavia Spencer.

The 89th annual Academy Awards air on ABC on February 26th.
