The Braxton family is most known for their amazing talents, but their bond as sisters is what continue to warm the hearts of people around the world. Unfortunately, they are now in mourning after Traci Braxton lost her battle with esophageal cancer on Saturday.
The sisters shared a joint statement about Traci on their respective Instagram pages along with a sweet photo of them all.
“It is with the utmost regret that we inform you on the passing of our sister, Traci,” the statement reads. “Needless to say, she was a bright light, a wonderful daughter, an amazing sister, a loving mother, wife grand mother and a respected performer. We will miss her dearly.”
The family also asked for privacy during this difficult time.
“Traci passed this morning as the snow was falling, our angel is now a snowflake. We ask that you respect our privacy as we plan to send her home with love, celebrating her life. We are family forever. Love, The Braxton Family.”
As we previously reported, Traci’s husband revealed she had been privately undergoing treatment for esophageal cancer for the last year. Traci’s son stated that she fought the battle with everything she had, but expressed that he is glad she is no longer in pain.
