<p style="font-weight: 400;">When 2022 began, many were optimistic that the job forecast for getting Americans back to work would kick off the new year in financially satisfying ways—but based on the latest expert reports, Americans are still leaving their jobs in record numbers. “<a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/the-great-resignation-is-reportedly-here-as-a-record-4-3-million-americans-quit-their-jobs-in-august-with-restaurant-and-retail-industries-hit-the-hardest/">The Great Resignation</a>” is continuing, as almost 5 million people quit their jobs in the month of March alone and industry experts say that despite previous predictions, things could get even worse for the job market.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“The Great Resignation” is showing absolutely no signs of slowing down, as American workers are permanently <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2022/05/03/economy/job-openings-quits-march/index.html?utm_medium=social&;utm_term=link&;utm_content=2022-05-03T16%3A30%3A08&;utm_source=twCNN">leaving their jobs</a> at rapid rates. @CNN reports, according to the latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, a new record-setting 4.5 million Americans quit their jobs in March 2022. The industries with the most resignations are within the professional/business services sector and construction. Nationwide resignation rates also rose by 3%, which is the highest since December of last year.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">However, in an interesting survey from the Job Openings and Labor Turnover, the number of available jobs across the country rose to 11.5 million—which now stands at its highest level in 22 years, dating all the way back to December 2000. Julia Pollack, Chief Economist of job placement company ZipRecruiter, explained why she believes Americans are saying goodbye to their jobs. “As employers require workers to return to offices, quits are ticking upwards. A major reason for quitting is to find a remote opportunity,” she said.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Additionally, the rate of job openings rose back up to 7.1% within the last two months, this figure translates to there being 1.9 job openings for every unemployed worker in March of this year. To further add to the increasing resignation numbers, reports show that American businesses are still facing the increasing inability for jobs to be filled and maintained.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">As we previously reported last year, 47 million people resigned from their jobs in 2021.</p>
