#TSRUpdatez: Last week, we reported on 22-year-old Toni Wells, who was found dead in her home after an apparent push down a flight of stairs.
Shortly after her death, two officers were suspended after they blew off a 911 call to check on Wells.
Wells’ sister said she placed the call to authorities because her sister was scared of her husband Barry Wells. He was later charged with the death of his wife.
Now Elizabeth Rivera, the mother of Toni Wells, has filed a lawsuit announcing her plan to bring a wrongful death case.
According to the New York Post, Rivera filed in Manhattan’s Supreme Court and said, “My attorneys have informed me that I have a valid and meritorious cause of action.”

She is also asking authorities to secure evidence for her case, including the 911 calls that were made.
