<p>#Roommates, the nominations for the 2020 American Music Awards have just been released—and <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/the-weeknd-responds-the-climax-drama-meanwhile-usher-throws-a-little-bit-more-shade-at-his-claims/">The Weeknd</a>, Roddy Ricch and Megan The Stallion have a lot to celebrate! The Weeknd and Roddy scored the most nominations this year, but Megan wasn’t far behind the guys and racked up the most nominations for a female artist.</p>
<p>@Billboard reports, if the <a href="https://www.billboard.com/articles/news/awards/9472722/2020-amas-nominations/?utm_medium=social&;utm_source=twitter">nominations</a> for the 2020 American Music Awards are any indication on the winners, then both The Weeknd and Roddy Ricch may want to get their acceptance speeches ready. They both are the most-nominated artists this year with eight nominations each, while Megan Thee Stallion is representing for the ladies and nabbed five nominations of her own making her the top artist in the female categories.</p>
<p>Artists landing four nominations apiece, include Doja Cat, DaBaby, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny and Taylor Swift. The Weeknd and Roddy Ricch are also both competing for the show’s top award, Artist of the Year, alongside Justin Bieber, Post Malone and Taylor Swift. Summer Walker, Jhene Aiko and Chris Brown also secured nominations in the R&;B categories. The 2020 American Music Awards are set to air on ABC at 8PM ET on November 22<sup>nd</sup> from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.</p>
