<p>It looks like Jay-Z will be involved with more behind the scenes work as he is slated to produce more scripted and unscripted films and television projects.</p>
<p>According to <em><a href="http://www.billboard.com/biz/articles/news/tv-film/7526332/weinstein-co-sets-exclusive-film-and-tv-first-look-deal-with-jay-z?utm_source=twitter">Billboard Biz</a></em>, The Weinstein Company will be able to get the first look on those projects, as they recently signed a new two-year deal, which grants them early access.</p>
<p>Some past films that Jay-Z has worked on includes, “The Great Gatsby,” the 2014 remake of “Annie” and Chris Rock’s romantic comedy, “Top Five.” New projects a part of the deal are already in the works, and are expected to be announced within the next few weeks.</p>
<p>Jay-Z said in a statement, “I&#8217;m excited to tell stories from real-life prophets, whom through their struggles have changed the world for the better, and others whose stories are filled with fantasy and delight.”</p>
<p>He continued, “Harvey and David are visionaries both of whom have done this time and time again. I&#8217;m already passionate about what we currently have in the pipeline and I&#8217;m looking forward to discovering others.”</p>
<p>Harvey Weinstein, the company’s co-chairman said, “Jay’s ability to influence entertainment and pop culture has gone well beyond music for many years. He approaches every aspect of his career with both determination and effortlessness, making him one of the leading power players in entertainment history. We already have some exceptional projects in the works and are excited to see what more is to come.”</p>
