By now many of you have already seen the viral video of Da Baby slapping a fan in Tampa as he walked through a crowd of fans. He says that he was hit in the face with a cellphone, and apologized for his actions.
The woman who was on the receiving end of the slap spoke out to the first time. In an interview with TMZ, Tyronesha Laws told her side of the story and said that it was the woman next to her that had the flashlight in Da Babys face, but she was the one who was slapped in return.
She says that she went to the hospital and was diagnosed with a contusion to her cheekbone. She also talked to the site about Da Baby making a joke about the incident after he appeared in a skit that seemingly reenacted the incident inside of a clothing store.
Tyronesha said, “I dont feel like he was sincere with the apology, I was embarrassed, I got people calling me, writing me on Instagram through fake pages. People seeing me at my job and saying ‘oh you’re the girl that got slapped.’ It’s embarrassing!”
She continued to say that she was not offered medical service, and she says that she was given a hard time at first when it came to obtaining a police report.
As we previously reported, Da Baby issued an apology through his Instagram story, and although the victim’s identity was unknown at the time, he offered to fly the young lady out to apologize to her in person as well.
In the video, he said, “I do sincerely apologize. Im very sorry that was a female on the other end of that flashlight on that phone. But you know, keep in mind I couldnt see you cause you have a flash thats this close to me, which is okay, its no problem. A lot of people did, they didnt put it as close as you put it, but a lot of people had flash on me and thats okay, thats what I signed up for, thats the risk I take when Im coming to put on a show for my fans.”
