Tidal is up to something once again! Tidal has been previously known to offer exclusive content and music to it’s consumers, but now the streaming service is now taking it a step further by offering…movies!
According to Page Six, Tidal is hoping to offer, “a movie service that will feature original content as well as acquired films. Tidal hopes to work with an indie studio or producer on a partnership to create original movies.”
Tidal is clearly willing to take things to next level and are not apologizing about for it. A source told Page Six, “They [Tidal] have upset everybody in the music business, the labels, Apple and [Interscope founder] Jimmy Iovine, and now it is taking on Netflix and Hulu.”
They have already put in a request to Apple to have the movie variable added to their application on the iOS platform. And it’s being rumored that the movie streaming service should be up as early as June!
