<p data-pm-slice="0 0 []">Roommates, if you&#8217;re in the mood to feel like an old head then you tapped on the right article! On this day, 26 years ago, the movie &#8216;Bad Boys&#8217; premiered in theaters across the United States.</p>
<p>The film&#8217;s main stars <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/will-smith-shares-a-photo-from-day-1-of-bad-boys-for-life/">Will Smith and Martin Lawrence</a> celebrated the anniversary with a TikTok post. Our OG bad boys linked up and filmed a remake of the official movie poster. In the nine-second clip, Will and Martin enter the camera from opposite sides. They then nod their heads at each other before turning around to face the camera.</p>
<p>Will pulls out dark sunglasses and puts them on, while Martin puts on a police badge. Then almost instantly, the chestnut-colored door in their background explodes into flames. The official movie poster from 26 years ago appears and the nostalgia sets in.</p>

<p>The video is accompanied by the song &#8216;I&#8217;m Just A Kid&#8217; by Simple Plan, a Canadian rock band. Will initially posted the video to his TikTok page, which has over 50 million followers.</p>
<p>&#8220;When we say FOR LIFE we mean it. Bad Boys came out 26 years ago today!&#8221; Will captioned the movie poster remake.</p>
<p>At the time of this publication, the video has received over 27 million views, over 77 thousand shares, and over 46 thousand comments.</p>
<p>Will and Martin <a href="https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112442/awards">received an MTV Movie Award nomination</a> for &#8216;Best On-Screen Duo&#8217; in 1996. Despite not winning the award, the action-comedy film became a cultural staple that led to two additional movies.</p>
<p>&#8216;Bad Boy II&#8217; was released in July 2003 and followed the buddy cops team as they investigated the illegal drug ecstasy flooding the Miami streets. Fans might remember that Will&#8217;s character &#8216;Mike&#8217; and Syd, the sister of Martin&#8217;s character &#8216;Marcus&#8217;, secretly dated during this movie.</p>
<p>The third film went into production after a few years of switching writers and directors and navigating the climbing costs of the film. Finally, in January 2020, the duo returned to our screens in &#8216;Bad Boys for Life&#8217; and collected over $400 million globally at the box office, <a href="https://deadline.com/2020/02/bad-boys-for-life-crosses-400-million-worldwide-box-office-1202870772/">Deadline reported</a>.</p>
