<p>Tory Lanez&#8217;s mugshot has been released after the rapper was officially relocated to a state prison to begin serving his 10-year sentence. As <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/judge-denies-tory-lanezs-motion-receive-bail/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Shade Room</a> previously reported, Lanez was found guilty of three charges in relation to the 2020 assault of Megan Thee Stallion in December.</p>
<p>On August 8, the rapper received his sentencing from Judge David Herriford.</p>
<p>Most recently, Lanez recently filed a motion to receive bail as he works to appeal the 10-year prison sentence. However, the rapper&#8217;s motion was denied by Judge Herriford on September 14.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">More Details Regarding The Rapper&#8217;s Prison Transfer &; Credit For Time Served</h3>
<p>According to information confirmed by <em>The Shade Room&#8217;s</em> Senior Editor, Jadriena Solomon, Lanez has been transferred to North Kern State Prison. The facility is located in Delano, California. Legal reporter Meghann Cuniff adds that Delano is located &#8220;35 miles north of Bakersfield.&#8221;</p>
<p>According to the <a href="https://inmatelocator.cdcr.ca.gov/Details.aspx?ID=BW0168" target="_blank" rel="noopener">California Department of Correction and Rehabilitation Inmate records</a>, Lanez was transferred to the facility on Tuesday, September 19. The rapper&#8217;s CDCR Number is listed as &#8220;BW0168.&#8221;</p>
<p>Additionally, Cuniff reports that Lanez was left the custody of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department at 10:22 a.m. on Tuesday.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.prisonpro.com/content/north-kern-state-prison" target="_blank" rel="noopener">PrisonPro</a> reports that North Kern State Prison doubles as a &#8220;reception center&#8221; and &#8220;medium to minimum custody facility.&#8221; Additionally, the facility serves as a &#8220;hub&#8221; for housing inmates &#8220;transported over a long distance through California.&#8221;</p>
<p>Furthermore, the prison is reportedly responsible for &#8220;diagnosing and classifying&#8221; incoming inmates. It reportedly does so by analyzing inmates&#8217; &#8220;mental and physical health.&#8221;</p>
<p>The process can reportedly take up to 90 days. However, this allows the inmate to be &#8220;moved to a new, more permanent facility.&#8221; The new facility can reportedly &#8220;better&#8221; suit an inmate&#8217;s &#8220;rehabilitation needs.&#8221;</p>
<p>According to an exclusive report from <a href="https://themessenger.com/entertainment/tory-lanez-relocated-north-kern-state-prison-exclusive" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Messenger</a>, the rapper is expected to spend three to six months at the facility. Then, he will reportedly be transferred to a &#8220;long-term facility&#8221; to serve the remainder of his sentence.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">Tory Lanez&#8217;s Mugshot Is Released</h3>
<p>On Wednesday, <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2023/09/20/tory-lanez-new-mug-shot-state-prison-megan-the-stallion-shooting/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">TMZ</a> obtained an exclusive photo of the rapper&#8217;s mugshot.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">A Brief Look Back On Tory&#8217;s Denied Bail Motion &; Presumed Path Forward</h3>
<p>As <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/judge-denies-tory-lanezs-motion-receive-bail/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Shade Room</a> previously reported, Lanez will receive a credit of 305 days served toward his prison sentence. <a href="https://themessenger.com/entertainment/tory-lanez-relocated-north-kern-state-prison-exclusive" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Messenger</a> notes that the rapper was previously detained at Los Angeles County Jail.</p>
<p>According to a <a href="https://www.legalaffairsandtrials.com/p/tory-lanez-has-been-transported-to?utm_source=post-email-title&;publication_id=1306850&;post_id=137203400&;utm_campaign=email-post-title&;isFreemail=true&;r=2nnkjo&;utm_medium=email" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a> published Wednesday by Cuniff, the rapper&#8217;s time served credit has presumably been increased to 353 days since his sentencing on August 8.</p>
<p>As <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/judge-denies-tory-lanezs-motion-receive-bail/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Shade Room</a> previously reported, Lanez will continue to work on appealing his prison sentence during his time incarcerated. The rapper&#8217;s &#8220;notice of appeal&#8221; was reportedly received by the &#8220;California Courts of Appeal’s 2nd District in Los Angeles&#8221; on August 10.</p>
<p>However, as previously noted by Cuniff, the appellate process can take years. Additionally, Lanez&#8217;s appeal proceedings may not begin until 2024.</p>
<p>We must note that Judge David Herriford remains confident in his sentencing of Lanez. At the rapper&#8217;s bail hearing last week, the judge reportedly explained that &#8220;no errors&#8221; were made in his sentencing.</p>
