Police arrested two men and said three other suspects are at large Wednesday in connection with the armed robbery of a jewelry store last month in Gonzales.
Police had already suspected Toya Wright’s brother Walter in connection to the robbery, and today, they arrested her other brother Casey Johnson (left) after finding evidence of loot from the robbery in his car (diamond rings). Johnson is being charged for accessory to a robbery after the fact. Police are still looking for Walter to bring him back to LA.
Authorities say on July 14, four men armed with guns walked into a jewelry store called Roussel’s and threatened to kill the employees before stealing Jewelry from the display cabinets, the store’s safe, and jacking the surveillance equipment!
Police say the group visited another jewelry store in New Orleans before robbing the Jewelry store in Gonzales so they were able to use the surveillance footage from that visit as well as social media to catch the suspects.
