<h3 style="text-align: center;">Tracee Acknowledged The Power &; Value Of &#8220;Black Sisterhood&#8221;</h3>
<p>The historically Black women&#8217;s college formally honored Tracee during its commencement ceremony on Sunday.</p>
<p>Tracee commemorated the occasion with an <a href="https://www.instagram.com/reel/CshpaLmr8Sy/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&;igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Instagram</a> video, which opened with her singing the classic graduation song while actin&#8217; silly in her regalia.</p>
<p>Viewers can then see Tracee&#8217;s degree being conferred as the <em>Black-ish </em>star takes the stage.</p>
<p>At that point, she addresses Spelman&#8217;s graduating class with a heartfelt speech.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Tracee Ellis Ross Spoke On The &#8220;Wonderful Honor&#8221; Earlier This Month</h3>
<p>News that Tracee would be honored at Spelman&#8217;s graduation ceremony broke about a month ago, as the Atlanta-based institution <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/Crg3frBM49V/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&;igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==" target="_blank" rel="noopener">revealed</a>, &#8220;<em><strong>Award-winning actress, CEO and producer Tracee Ellis Ross will receive an honorary degree.&#8221;</strong></em></p>

<p>Once word began to spread, Tracee shared a social media upload about the matter and declared she was &#8220;excited to join the Spelman sisterhood.&#8221;</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Acknowledging Other Celebs Who Received Honorary Degrees</h3>
<p>While speaking of honorary degrees, it&#8217;s pertinent to give a shoutout to some other stars who recently received similar privileges.</p>
<p>As <em>The Shade Room </em>reported, <strong><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/get-ur-degree-on-missy-elliott-awarded-second-honorary-doctorate-from-norfolk-state-university/?_gl=1*dm0qxd*_up*MQ..*_ga*MzEwNjUyNzU0LjE2ODQ3ODQ4NzI.*_ga_V2HX8YP3XL*MTY4NDc4NDg3MS4xLjEuMTY4NDc4NTQwOS4wLjAuMA.." target="_blank" rel="noopener">Missy Elliott</a> </strong>received an honorary Ph.D. from Norfolk State University late last year. Notably, both of her parents attended the HBCU, located only a few minutes away from her hometown of Portsmouth, Virginia.</p>
